But, as other top Canadian coaches have expressed in their letters to you all, it’s time to keep the fitness and mental base by working out at home, in your yard and to practice the visualization skills taught to you by your coaches or sports psychologists. These qualities will be tested on a big scale once you return to action and it will be obvious who did the work while fighting this deficit off. Don’t get left behind!

I would like to share a mindset I instil in all the players I coach, one I believe has greatly influenced all of the player’s performances; “whatever happens, I can handle it.” This mindset is achieved through a systematic, tactical development process, so that whoever the opponent, whatever the surface, regardless of the environment, or scoring, the players can, and will rise to the challenge as it is presented.
