Serena Williams Appointed UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador

The tennis superstar Serena Williams has been named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. The announcement became official yesterday during the 2nd Annual Social Good Summit held in New York City.

Together with the world’s leading advocate and charitable organization for children, Serena will be helping kids to build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities – all through the power of education. Former UNICEF Ambassadors include Audrey Hepburn, David Beckham, Orlando Bloom, Shakira, Ricky Martin and others.
