***Chris grew up playing tennis in B.C. and was ranked as high as No. 2 provincially in the U12 and U16 divisions. He played in two junior national championships in the 80s. Girls Under-12 top seed Katherine Sebov of Ontario continued to roll on day two of round-robin action at the U12 nationals at Calgary’s Tennis Academy on Tuesday. Sebov demolished Betina Stanescu of Ontario 6-0, 6-0 in Flight 1 action.
Second-seed Natasha Irani of Ontario defeated Quebec’s Noemie Lapointe 6-1, 6-0 to keep her Flight 2 round-robin record intact.
In boys’ action on Tuesday, Alberta’s Ryan Loke defeated Alexis Galarneau 6-2, 6-1 while Kamen Damov also defeated Galarneau 6-1, 6-2 in Flight 1.
In Flight 2, Simon Stoula defeated Denis Shapalov 6-0, 6-3, Isaac Davies defeated Hielke Moore 6-0, 6-0, Shapalov defeated Moore 6-0, 6-0 and Stoula defeated Davies 6-1, 6-1.
